Dr. E. Lee James, age 81 of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home. Dr. James was born in Ohio County, Kentucky, on December 7, 1943, to Foster James and Corabel Bennett James. His conversion took place at West Point Baptist Church in Matanzas, Kentucky.

E. Lee was a 1961 graduate of Centertown High School. He earned his B.A. degree from Campbellsville Baptist College, Campbellsville, Kentucky, in 1965 with a Major in Bible and a minor in Sociology-English. E. Lee was ordained into the ministry in May of 1966 by the West Point Baptist Church. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Western Kentucky University, Luther Rice Baptist Seminary, and in 1988 completed and earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in 1988.
