WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - A man is dead and a woman is hurt after a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle in Whitley County on Tuesday morning.

A 67-year-old Churubusco woman was traveling south on S.R. 205 in an SUV when she attempted to turn left onto Blue Lake Road, according to Whitley County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch.

Brian O’Connor, a 53-year-old from Columbia City, was traveling north on a motorcycle when the SUV driver failed to yield and hit him, the news release says.

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch says O’Connor died from his injuries. The woman was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
