DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man was arrested in connection with a chase that damaged multiple police cars and endangered a child, police say.

Lontrez T. Nabors Sr., 41, was arrested and charged after officers were led on a chase at about 1 a.m. Sunday near West 2nd and Sturdevant streets, police said.

Officials said Nabors had several warrants for his arrest, so officers tried to pull him over, but he fled.

During the chase, police said Nabors drove head-on toward a police car and hit it and others, causing over $5,000 in damage.

In total, three police cars were damaged, police said.

Once officers stopped Nabors’ SUV, police said he was arrested.

Inside Nabors’ car police said officers found a 3-year-old that was not wearing a seatbelt.
