The Garda spokesperson added, "The pedestrians, (a woman aged in her 30s, and a male infant) were conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time. No other injuries were reported at the time. The scene was preserved for technical examination. The road has since reopened."
