FORT MILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 24-hour boil water advisory has been issued for several areas of Fort Mill following a water main break Tuesday morning.
Crews successfully repaired the break on a 100-year-old pipe along N. White Street. Officials say they're in the process of reopening the valves and will continue flushing hydrants in the affected areas shown below. This is to ensure optimal water quality.
Out of an abundance of caution, Fort Mill residents in the affected areas are on a 24-hour boil water advisory. In the meantime, the water quality will be tested to make sure it meets all state and federal safety standards.
