ELYSIAN FIELDS, Texas (KETK)-- Elysian Fields ISD (EFISD) has named Amy Dickson the lone finalist for the superintendent position.

Dickson was named the lone finalist following a unanimous vote by the board of trustees during a school board meeting on Monday. Dickson has been serving as interim superintendent since June, after retiring from her role as Karnack ISD (KISD) Superintendent in 2023, following seven years of service in KISD.

"It is an incredible honor to be named the lone finalist for superintendent of Elysian Fields ISD — a place that has always been home to me in every sense of the word," Dickson said. "My family's story is deeply intertwined with this district's history. My father served as superintendent here in the early 1980s, my mother carried that torch into the 2000s,
