Retired NYPD officer Phil McManus spent Monday night along the Belt Parkway service road, proudly holding up “Curtis Sliwa for Mayor” signs and waving an American flag.

Under no circumstances would he vote for any other candidate on Nov. 4, he told THE CITY.

“We don’t need creeps. We don’t need crooks. And we don’t need commies, OK? We need true blue American heroes. And I will tell you that Sliwa is a hero.” McManus, a Rockaway resident who’s been volunteering for Sliwa’s campaign, said Tuesday.
