A 21-year-old Australian woman has defied the odds, overcoming a health battle that left her unable to walk and without a memory.

Billie Kaczynski suffered a grade four anerysm and was placed in a two-week coma after she underwent emergency brain surgery to stop a bleed.

When Ms Kaczynski woke up, she could not walk and had no memory.

“My dad and I went for a bush walk and then at 10pm that night I came out to my dad crying, saying I had the worst headache I’ve experienced,” she told A Current Affair.

Her dad said before he could get to her she collapsed to the ground in pain and then had a seizure.

The family was told the right side of her body and her speech would be affected.

“For a kid that was so healthy, it was scary,” her dad said.
