COLUMBIA, Mo - Burrell Behavioral Health has broken ground on a new Behavioral Health Crisis Center at 107 Texas Avenue in Columbia.

The new facility will be for adults 18 and older dealing with mental health and substance use related crises. It is completely voluntary for clients and any adult can receive mental health care, regardless of insurance or a person's ability to pay.

In September 2024, the city of Columbia allocated Burrell $3-million in American Rescue Plan Act funding to construct a new facility on the same campus as Burrell's Phoenix Clinic. The new facility will expand crisis service access to the city of Columbia and the mid-Missouri area.
