LIVINGSTON, Texas (KETK) -- An East Texas woman is accused of assaulting officer and carrying a loaded pistol after entering the police department lobby.

The Livingston Police Department said on Saturday morning, a 62-year-old woman identified as Brenda Bradshaw entered the lobby of the police department requesting to speak with an officer she said she felt comfortable with due to past interactions.

Bradshaw said she wished to speak with the officer regarding an incident that occurred at another jurisdiction. When the officer met her at the lobby, Bradshaw began speaking with him, but "unexpectedly assaulted the officer by punching and kicking him."
