Nashville-based engineering company Smith Seckman Reid Inc. has acquired a Florida infrastructure firm.
Terms of the deal involving St. Petersburg-headquartered George F Young were not disclosed in a release.

With the acquisition, SSR adds 100 new employees and eight offices (collectively located in Alabama and Florida).
Led by CEO and President Susan Osterberg, the Nashville office of Smith Seckman Reid is home to 65 local licensed engineers. After the deal with GFY, the company now has 700 employees working in 25 offices.
