A big-hearted delivery driver has helped to rescue a seal pup which was separated from its mum when a storm hit a Scots island at the weekend. ‌

The animal was seen hiding in sand dunes on a beach on Arran after the island - dubbed Scotland in miniature - was battered by high winds and rain on Sunday. ‌

The pup was seen to be thin and shivering and was rescued, and has now been transported to the mainland, thanks to an Arran Deliveries driver. ‌

The animal was taken to Ardrossan , Ayrshire, and will be transferred to the Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' wildlife hospital in Fife.
