RICHMOND, Va. — The latest poll from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) was released Tuesday and shows several big changes in the state's top races with just two weeks before Election Day.

The poll, conducted between Oct. 6 and Oct. 14, shows a narrowing gap between the two gubernatorial candidates from the previous poll, but still places Democratic candidate Abigail Spanberger ahead of Republican candidate Winsome Earle-Sears by a margin of 49% to 42%.

The margin of error for the entire poll is ±3.95%, which would still put Spanberger ahead of Earle-Sears by a comfortable margin, but it's down from a 9-point difference from the previous VCU poll that was released a month ago, prior to the debate between the two at Norfolk State University.
