Thamma is the big Diwali release of 2025. It is clashing with a smaller film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat at the box office. Thamma has its roots in Indian mythology with the character of Vetaal. In the movie, Ayushmann Khurrana plays the role of Alok who falls in love with Tadaka, a vampire. The movie is a combination of romance, music and comedy. Those who have seen the movie found the first half kind of slow. However, the second half kind of makes up for it. One of the highlights has been the introduction of Aneet Padda as Shakti Shalini.
