New York Jets owner Woody Johnson is done with Justin Fields, and this time, he’s not letting anyone else convince him otherwise.

An insider report revealed that Johnson had to be held back from benching Aaron Rodgers in favor of Tyrod Taylor last season. Fields hasn’t been so lucky, as he has already been benched after six games.

Johnson had no qualms about throwing him under the bus in an interview with reporters on Tuesday following the Jets’ seventh loss in 2025.

The team has yet to win a game all season, with misery compounded on account of a troubling lawsuit, and the owner reckons it’s to be expected given the quarterback they have.
