GLADWIN, MI – The Gladwin volleyball team has a built-in confidence booster in Ansley Mausolf.

The Flying G’s know she’s not only on their team but in their corner.

“She’s the team’s biggest cheerleader,” Gladwin coach Tony Wetmore said. “She’s super motivated herself, but she’s also a big motivator for her teammates. She’s always cheering for them and is very supportive.”

A six-rotation player and the top hitter on the squad, Mausolf was voted MLive Bay City Athlete of the Week. She garnered 52.7 percent of the 9,951 ballots cast in the online poll, edging runner-up Julia Budzinski of the Bay City Western girls golf team.
