NEW YORK — Expectations are high for the No. 4 UConn men’s basketball team entering the 2025-2026 season.

Five different Huskies received preseason accolades from the Big East Conference, as was announced on Tuesday ahead of Media Day in New York City.

Junior guard Solo Ball, fifth-year senior forward Alex Karaban and senior center Tarris Reed Jr. were each named to the All-Big East Preseason First Team.

Ball and Karaban were both named to the 2025 All-Conference Second Team in March and look to make the anticipated jump to the first team this season. Reed was the league’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2025 and turned heads with his play down the stretch.
