Every Coweta County school now has a school resource officer on site — and three at each high school — as part of a layered security system leaders say makes student safety a top priority.
Director of School Safety Danielle Rosa said the system also includes radio links to 911, advanced ID badge access and the Shield program, which can prevent intruders from moving freely through school buildings. She noted that Coweta’s approach has drawn attention from other districts across Georgia as a potential model for school security.
