SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - An educator at a Shreveport high school is now behind bars.
Nicholas Smith, 42, the principal at Huntington High School, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 21, according to Caddo Correctional records.
He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
No bond has been set at this time.
Caddo Parish Public Schools Superintendent Keith Burton released the following statement regarding Smith’s arrest:
Caddo Parish Public Schools has been made aware of a serious personal matter involving the principal of Huntington High School. The Shreveport Police Department has arrested the individual and charged him with two counts of domestic abuse battery – child endangerment.
