COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State men’s basketball landed one of its top recruits in years Tuesday, as 5-star prospect Anthony Thompson committed to coach Jake Diebler’s program.

Thompson is a 6-foot-8 forward from Lebanon, Ohio, who plays for Western Reserve Academy in Hudson. He’s rated as the No. 7 overall player in the 2026 class by 247Sports.com, and chose the Buckeyes over Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Texas, among other programs.
