The NBA’s GOAT is ready for his first appearance as an NBC employee.

Michael Jordan, who officially joined the company as a special contributor earlier this year, will have his own series throughout the 2025-26 NBA season called “MJ: Insights to Excellence.”

In a press release Monday, NBC Sports said the first portion of Jordan’s interview with Mike Tirico for the series will be shown during halftime of the opening game on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The 2025-26 NBA tips off with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Houston Rockets, followed by the Golden State Warriors visiting the Los Angeles Lakers. Both games will air Tuesday on NBC and Peacock.
