The Ohio High School Landscape Olympics recently marked its 10th anniversary, bringing together students from across the state to showcase their skills in horticulture, landscaping, and more. Hosted by the Ohio Green Industry Association at Ohio State ATI in Wooster, the event featured 20 different competitions, from skid steer operation to tool identification and even chainsaw work.
Industry leaders, including Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Brian Baldridge, joined to cheer on the next generation of green industry professionals. Students like Kennedy Auker shared how the experience has already opened doors for their careers, while educators emphasized the value of hands-on opportunities beyond the classroom.
