CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – A legacy business in Savannah is expanding. Livingood has been in business for 49 years and Tuesday, they broke ground in Pooler.

“I think our structure here in the city of Pooler really fit what they wanted to bring in terms of a business,” said City Manager Heath Lloyd when asked why he thinks businesses like Livingood continue to choose Pooler.

The city of Pooler has seen a 25% growth in residents as well as growth in commercial business and tourism in the last five years. A $40 million investment to grow infrastructure in 2025 and budget plans for 2026 were discussed at the City Council meeting Monday night.
