LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - London Mayor Randall Weddle will remain in office for now.

According to court documents, the Kentucky Court of Appeals denied a motion from the London City Council.

The council wanted the circuit court ruling overturned, reinstating Weddle after they voted to remove him from office.

The appeals court says there’s no irreparable harm in Weddle remaining mayor while the case continues.

The underlying appeal regarding his removal is still pending.
