A Leduc man charged in June with 27 offences related to child pornography and luring is now facing 113 charges after 23 more victims came forward after a six-month investigation by ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.

On June 26, the man was arrested after a report was made through Cypertip in April. At the time, six complainants came forward, resulting in 27 charges. After 23 more victims came forward, 86 more charges were added on Oct. 14.

“I’ve never seen anything like this, and I’ve been involved with in-person’s crimes with the Edmonton Police Service and ALERT over the last six to seven years,” said Staff Sgt. Alison Church with the ALERT ICE unit.

“This is believed to be one of the largest investigations of its kind in Alberta, and we’re not done investigating it.”
