Boston police responded to a stabbing Tuesday afternoon outside a Home Depot store at a busy Dorchester shopping plaza.

The victim was stabbed outside the store at South Bay Center on Allstate Road, police said. The attack was reported to police around 5:15 p.m.

That person was taken to an area hospital. Their condition was not known.

A person was arrested and is in custody, but police did not share the suspect's name.
