Monroe police officers arrested a suspect for allegedly making threats against "No Kings" rally organizers.

On Saturday. Oct. 18, the organizers of the "No Kings" rally notified the Monroe Public Safety Department that they had received threatening messages of violence toward their organizations and attendees of the planned event in downtown Monroe that day.

Officers initiated an investigation and identified several concerning messages. One person in particular was found to have posted direct threats of violence against rally participants, according to police. Detectives identified the suspect as a 58-year-old man from Trenton.
