Sun, seafood and song at the 13th Annual OBX Seafood Festival

With temperatures hovering around 70 degrees and bright sunshine, the 13th Annual Outer Banks Seafood Festival was held in nearly perfect weather.
There has not been an official attendance announced yet, but there appeared to be at least 5,000 people in line for food and listening to music at the Nags Head Event Site on Saturday, Oct. 13.
Since the Seafood Festival began in 2012, the food prepared by local restaurants and chefs has always been the centerpiece of the event. With 13 restaurants participating this year—more than in the past few years—lines were noticeably shorter and the range of dishes larger than in the past.
Quite a number of Latin-influenced dishes were served this year. The
