Baseball fans are set to bring their energy, and their wallets, to Toronto to see the Blue Jays play the first two games of the 2025 World Series.
With previous high-level sporting events bringing in revenue totals in the millions for host cities, Toronto businesses look to have an economic home run coming down the pipe.
Kelly Jackson, the vice-president of Destination Development with Destination Toronto, says that success is a combination of factors. Energized city residents and fans, alongside passionate fans vising from out of town, mean lots of business for the city.
“We also have so many people associated with Major League Baseball coming. We're going to have such a mix of people visiting and they’re going to get to really explore the city while they're here.”
