After a whirlwind summer and preseason, the Boston Celtics finally kick off their 2025-26 season on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden.

On Tuesday, the Celtics released their injury report for Wednesday’s game. Unfortunately, their two best players are on it.

Jayson Tatum, who is recovering from a right Achilles injury, has been ruled out. He is not expected to return until February at the earliest.

Jaylen Brown, who’s dealing with a left hamstring strain, is listed as questionable, putting his status in doubt for Wednesday’s opener.
