FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The United States Marshals Service has arrested a New York man in Fayetteville wanted for murder.

USMS said in a news release that around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Rephayah Oselmo was arrested after being wanted for second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Officials said the warrant was issued on Oct. 8 in Onondaga County in New York.

Marshals were brought in shortly after the warrant was issued due to the fact that Oselmo was believed to have fled New York, the release said.

USMS said the investigation led them to an apartment complex off South Lewis Avenue.

Oselmo reportedly attempted to flee by jumping out of a second-story window but was taken into custody.
