WEBSTER CITY, Iowa —

Webster City police are investigating after a man was found dead Monday morning.

According to the Webster City Police Department, officers were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Des Moines Street at approximately 5:30 a.m. Monday. Responding officers found a deceased adult male inside the residence, according to police.

Police have not yet publicly identified the man. The cause of death is unknown, but police are continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
