ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

A fire response is underway in the bosque area in southwest Albuquerque.

The fire is near Second Street and Rio Bravo Boulevard SW. Bernalillo County Fire Rescue is responding and five units are responding. The flames and smoke started to dissipate around 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.

A BCFR spokesperson also said the fire is burning near an arroyo in an open field area. There are no structures being threatened.

About 20 fire personnel are at the scene.
