When you think of a city that’s great for singles, you might imagine bustling nightlife, affordable living, a thriving social scene and lots of hotties.

Well, apparently the best place for this is…St. Louis, Missouri — at least according to online rental marketplace Zumper . 3

The city supposedly has the best “balance of affordability, job opportunity, and social options, and I think that really appeals to singles, whether they are looking to date or not,” Crystal Chen, co-author of the report, told CNBC .

With a median rent for a one-bedroom apartment at just $1,000 and nearly half of its population being single, the city provides a reasonably affordable base for individuals looking to mingle. 3

The city also — shockingly — ranks in the top five nationwide for nightlife
