OGDEN — A West Jordan man faces a count of trafficking of fentanyl after police said they discovered around 2,000 suspected fentanyl pills in his vehicle.
Weber County prosecutors filed the charge against Yerlin Abraham Valle-Gomez, 24, in 2nd District Court in Ogden on Friday. It stems from the discovery of the drugs during a traffic stop on Oct. 16. Agents with the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force said they pulled over his vehicle in the Ogden area after receiving a tip about his presence. Trafficking of fentanyl is a first-degree felony.
Valle-Gomez "admitted to driving 2,000 fentanyl pills to Ogden to sell them," according to a police booking affidavit. ×
