Road work on a section of West Shore Drive is set to start in November after Richardson City Council approved a construction contract during its Oct. 20 meeting.
The details
The project will include replacement of street and alley pavement, waterline improvements and the widening of sidewalks along the roadway and Fontana Avenue. Work on waterlines, corner ramps and pedestrian crossings will also take place at West Shore Drive’s intersection with Arapaho Road.
The project will cost $9.47 million and is funded by the city’s 2021 bond. Work is expected to be completed by spring 2027, according to city documents.
