Vanderbilt cracked the top 10 after its Week 8 win over No. 10 LSU. It's the first time the Commodores have been inside the top 10 since 1947. They were in The Associated Press top 10 twice in the 1940s and haven't been back since ’47.

Since I've been alive, Vanderbilt has not been a school with any prominence in football. The program only has four winning seasons dating back to 1997 — the year I was born. ×
