GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is facing armed robbery, kidnapping, and aggravated assault charges after a violent robbery at a West Valley phone store earlier this month.

Court records revealed Gilbert Lara is facing three felonies in connection with the crime that happened on Oct. 7 at a Cricket Wireless store near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to court paperwork, officers responded on that day just before 10:30 a.m., when a store employee called 911 saying that she had been robbed at knifepoint. When police arrived, they said the woman appeared “visibly shaking” and was crying.
