HERRIMAN, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - Real Salt Lake snuck into the MLS Playoffs with a draw this past weekend at St. Louis. Now, they want to make a deep run in the postseason.

Real Salt Lake will play at Portland in the Western Conference play-in game Wednesday night, marking the fifth straight year RSL had made the postseason, the longest active streak in Major League Soccer.

"I think it speaks volumes to the work that we consistently do, said head coach Pablo Mastroeni. "To have everyone rowing in the same direction, especially when times are tough, speaks volumes of the commitment we have here as a group."

"To be five years in a row in the playoffs is something it takes takes a lot of work from a lot of people," said defender Alex Katranis. "You win, you go through. You lose, you go home.
