PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Every year for the past eight years, semi-annually, OSF HealthCare hosts a nursing career fair for nurses entering the field or those searching for another opportunity.

Tuesday, Oct. 21, saw one of the larger events that OSF has had, with an estimated 200 people attending the event and around 36 departments from OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

The nursing field has been facing a shortage in the recent past and the importance of the Career fair was highlighted by OSF VP of surgical and procedural services Sherri Greenwood.

"You know, I always tell people, if you want to make a difference in the world tomorrow and ten years from now, invest in a nursing education," said Greenwood.
