SOUTH BUFFALO TWP. —
FBI and state officials began an extensive digging operation in South Buffalo Township on Tuesday near a private residence, saying they had "accomplished their goal" in relation to an undisclosed investigation.

The Trib said multiple law enforcement vehicles were in the area, with one labeled "FBI Evidence Response Team."
Pennsylvania State Police Sgt. Scott Zigo told the Trib that the operation was part of an ongoing investigation. He did not specify the details of the initial investigation.
