MORGANTOWN, Ky. (WBKO) — Tara McMillin asked for one simple thing when she started her new job: an office with a window.
She had spent several years working at the Butler County jail, a job that kept her inside with little access to the outside world. After 19 years, she joined her brother-in-law at Bluegrass Roofing, finally finding the window she had been hoping for.
“I think God always puts you where you’re meant to be,” McMillin said. “He put me here in front of this window.”
Each day, she watches the same familiar cars and faces pass along W. G. L. Smith Street, one of Morgantown’s main thoroughfares. Then, earlier this year, a new face caught her eye.
