WALHALLA, N.D. — It will be a little spooky in Pembina County this weekend.
Maxum Mostad is hosting his sixth annual haunted house at Frost Fire Park in Walhalla. The 13-year-old puts it on each year to raise money for the recreation area.
In 2024, more than 300 people came out to the haunted house, the most ever.
This year, the haunted house will feature four more rooms, a longer trail and 35 live bodies.
In total, the haunted house has raised nearly $100,000 for Frost Fire.
It’s much-needed money, as the ski area often loses money.
For the past two years, the theater has been held off site after it collapsed in a spring snowstorm. Rebuilding that is expected to cost millions.
“It’s a fun place where people can come out and do stuff they have never done before like skiing and mount
