MUSCATINE, Iowa (KWQC) - The City of Muscatine accepted land from a large Muscatine manufacturer to expand and develop housing opportunities for residents.
The city accepted a donation of land for housing from HNI on Tuesday.
The donation is for several parcels that are currently owned by HNI, city leaders said. The donation provides the city with strategically located land that will be considered for future residential development projects, helping to address community growth, housing needs, and neighborhood revitalization.
The parcels are located off University Drive in Muscatine, city leaders said. They have the potential for development of a subdivision that would include townhomes and single-family homes of various sizes.
