LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Three residents from Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley recently won big in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.

Lottery officials said in a news release on Tuesday that the three residents claimed a combined $300,000 in prizes at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center in Little Rock.

Julie S. of Crawford County won $200,000 playing the $200,000 Platinum Jackpot with a $10 ticket purchased from Workman’s Travel Center on Pence Lane in Ozark. She claimed her prize last week.

She told ASL that she plans to donate some of her winnings as a "helper of people."

Joe K. of Benton County won $50,000 playing the $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize on Oct. 16.

He said that he plans to buy a new truck with his winnings.
