The historic Pinecroft estate in Mt. Airy, built by inventor Powel Crosley, is about to be sold, and the new buyers plan to transform it into a boutique hotel and wellness center, sparking concerns among local residents and mental health advocates.

Julie Raleigh, founder of Madi's House, a mental health nonprofit located on the property, expressed fears about the impact of the sale and zoning requests. Advertisement

"We know the great need and Madi's house is here to serve, and we are saving lives. We have over 1,800 members that use our free services," Raleigh said.
