EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An 8-year-old girl and her parents recounted the moment she was attacked by a pack of stray dogs this past Monday morning, Oct. 20, while she was on her way to her school bus stop in Socorro.

Police say a pack of stray dogs chased and bit the girl, leading to the capture and euthanization of 11 dogs connected to the attack.

The incident happened just after 7 a.m. Monday, on the 11600 block of Flor Freesia Drive, according to the Socorro Police Department.

Home surveillance video shows multiple dogs running after the child as she tries to get away. Her father is seen rushing toward her after hearing her scream.

“They chased me, and then they attacked me. I got very scared," the 8-year-old girl said.
