ALBERT LEA, Minn.- Dr. Steven Heil, superintendent of Albert Lea Area Schools says there has been misinformation spreading about a potential camera policy that was read at school board meeting on Monday, Oct. 20.

Dr. Heil says the policy is simply meant to allow schools the ability to install security cameras in hallways, entryways, parking lots and buses, but one provision has been misinterpreted.

It read:

"Video surveillance will normally not be used in bathrooms or locker

rooms, although these areas may be placed under surveillance by

individuals of the same sex as the occupants of the bathrooms or
