M.C.I. Foods Inc. is recalling about 91,585 pounds of frozen breakfast burritos and wraps due to potential listeria contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
According to a report by FSIS, the recalled items, produced between Sept. 17 and Oct. 14, 2025, include El Más Fino, Los Cabos, and Midamar brand products. They were distributed to food service institutions nationwide.
While an earlier statement suggested the products were part of the USDA’s National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, FSIS later clarified they were not supplied through federal meal programs. However, some may have been sold commercially to schools.
The affected products bear establishment numbers “EST. 1162A” or “P-5890A” inside the USDA
