SALT LAKE CITY — A man died after a single-vehicle semitruck rollover on Interstate 70 Tuesday morning. The crash happened westbound near the U.S. 89 interchange in Sevier County, closing the interstate both westbound and eastbound.

According to Sergeant Mike Alexander with Utah Highway Patrol, hazmat crews responded due to a fuel leak into a creek near mile marker 24. Drivers were asked to use U.S. 50 or state Route 20/U.S. 89 as alternate routes.

The highway was closed for several hours, but reopened at approximately 9 a.m.
